Great man Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was a prominent leader and freedom fighter in India's struggle for independence from British colonial rule. He was born on January 23, 1897, in Cuttack, Odisha, India. Bose was known for his radical and defiant approach in the fight against British imperialism. Bose played a crucial role in establishing the Forward Bloc in 1939, a political group that advocated for complete independence from British rule. He also played a significant role in leading the Indian National Congress and was elected its president in 1938 and 1939. During World War II, Bose sought assistance from other world powers to free India from British rule. He formed the Indian National Army (INA), also known as Azad Hind Fauj, in collaboration with the Axis powers - primarily Japan and Germany. The INA aimed to liberate India from British control and played a vital role in raising awareness about India's struggle for independence. Bose's contributions and leadership to the Indian independence movement continue to inspire generations. Although he died in a plane crash on August 18, 1945, the legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose remains an integral part of Indian history, and he is often hailed as a national hero.
