I am a huge fan of historical drama and period projects. The costumes and sets are gorgeous and rich. The story can be difficult to follow and clumsy. There is too much gratuitous sex which I think covers up for a wanting screenplay.
I wanted and hoped to enjoy this but by episode three it is difficult. I keep hoping it gets better but I continue to be disappointed.
