Our review #KashmirFiles
1) Due to the exaggeration of the story line to 2hrs 50mis, the film is neither crisp nor catchy, other than Anupam Kher other actors performed horribly, bad dialogue delivery and lack of expressions have ruined the taste of pain & terror which the film was supposed to create, over all the production is up to the mark.
2) The film is not actually against muslims in general, accept for a few projections, like a neighbour giving up his pandit neighbour to the terrorists, or a mullah asking a panditani to marry him and spiting at her and by the end of the movie the saints of kashmir have been called as terror mongers, which could have been avoided, but without controversy the film would not even make to be financially even, as it is, the film is not doing too well on the box office.
3) Mostly, the flaws of the then Govt of J&K and India have been projected. A particular terrorist (bitta) has been highlighted as the main cause of the exodus, a teacher from a Delhi based university (presumingly JNU) has been projected as major friend of the foe.
4) Krishna (the main character) has been picturised as an educated fool, who believes in everything that he is told and never uses his own judgement and analysis.
5) KPs have been projected as the main culprits behind the abrogation of article 370 of constitution of India.
6) Over all the director of the film has not been able to do justice to this feature and the production, which may be the main cause of using this film to arise sentiments of an already pained community and using their sentiments as a tool of marketing the film.
7) I do not see the film as a problem, I see the narrative that is being formulated by the takers as a problem, the ones who will gain out of it & shall use it for causing disharmony.
8) People should not allow any bad narrative take over their mindsets, one should think wisely and maintain the brotherhood among each other, not allowing any wrong elements take any advantage.
