Napoleon was one of the most interesting figures in history. However, the movie portrays him as one of the most boring ones. He has absolutely no personality in the film. The only thing that I would be able to say is that he was super creepy. However, I don't think that was the goal of the film. There are times when it seems like the movie wants it to be endeering with his relationship towards Josephine; however, it is always creepy and uncomfortable. Also, why this movie is about arguably the least interesting part of Napoleon (Josephine) and not at all about the military, his relationship with France, or anything along those veigns, I do not know. It was 3 uncomfortable, bored hours that I will not get back, and I feel like a dirtier man for watching it.

Well, as much as I enjoy sitting through 2.5 hours of mind numbing depression, I would say that The Revenant is not for me. One of those movies that tries so hard to be artistic, but ends up being a jumbled, confusing, boring mess where there is no joy allowed. Also, for the soundtrack it seems as if they gave a 10 year old a chello and said "play me somethin slow buddy." *A glimpse into the minds of the creators* "Hey, you know, things are going pretty bad for Leo in this one. Lets give the audience as much pain as possible." "Why?" "Because Leo needs this Oscar!" "You're right. More pain. Is there a way we can shove in a sexual assault too?" "Trust me, we can make it work." An extra star for Tom and Leo doing such a wonderful job. They are really good.
