I had a totally different thought about the movie. I really thought it was just a remake of the original movie. I had no idea it was an adaptation of the screen play. Hence all of the dancing & singing. I was looking forward to the original storyline but what, they wanted to create it in a more positive light? I did enjoy the cast immensely. I loved all of the cameo appearances but as a musical, a lot of meaningful scenes were left out. So I didn't enjoy the musical version as much. But the actors were marvelous in their respective roles.
