Unlike the negative critics I have read until now, I loved the story. The gameplay didn't have big improvements, but the story is undeniably deeper and more layered. I smile every time I read the reason why people hated it, and can't help but think that Naughty Dog succeeded in their plan. They made fictional characters behave like real people and not heroes, bringing real emotions to the players.
I'll play it again.
