The comedic back and forth between the main characters. The ability to paint a scene and make me feel like I am right there. The character development, where it is intertwined throughout the novel. The stories that build so well off each other even though he is telling it from a 25 year timeline.
When my mom asked me if this book was everything I expected, I smiled and said more. Fredrick Backman is one of the main reasons that I fell back into love with reading, and this book further proves the point.
(Although, Benji is still the best character he has written to date).
