Crimson

I genuinely adore this show, I grew up with a vhs of it and watched it religiously. Even to this day I go back and rewatch episodes. Granted, the animation and humor is not for everyone, but it really does tickle my funny bone. Not a really serious show, so I don't hold it to that regard, but some of the characters have moved me. Yes, really. Klump in particular, as a person who had no friends in school I really connected with him, and still love him to this day. But it really is up to the person, a lot of the characters have annoying character traits like Candy and Bluster. Most of the songs are bops. The plots are varied, and to my recollection doesn't really have an overarching plot, very episodic. King K. Rool, Skurvy, or some other antagonist trying to steal the Crystal Coconut, cause havoc on the island, or something else. One of my favorite episodes is when King K Rool tries to win a wish from the crystal coconut by winning a dance competition, when the apes best dancer gets injured, and Dk has to finish challenges to learn how to dance and save the island. It's absurd and i absolutely love it. Now let's address the elephant in the room, the animation. Yes it is not good. Awkward definitely, weird movements, and the drastic model change in season two. That has never really bothered me enough to quit the show though, I just think of it as part of the charm. It's a very interesting show at the very least, but it has managed to worm it's way to a place in my heart. The episodes always make me smile when I watch them. I'm 100% serious in this review (I've seen all the troll comments)
