As the episode begins, it feels fun and new to be immersed in the experience of Bandersnatch by choosing things such as music and breakfast completely unaware of the dark turn that's about to take place (unless you're familiar with the black mirror series). I soon found myself panicking over which decision to make, not having enough time to think the choices over.
They bridge a gap that has not been bridged before between the viewer and the character which adds even more weight to the choices you make since he is "aware" of your control over him. And it seems to steer you down the more violent storyline to make the experience the most chilling.
It turns the tables on the viewer where normally we are the ones watching and being entertained, but in Bandersnatch, we're forced to make the choices and he watches to see what we'll choose.
