I wish I could give the film 4-1/2 stars ⭐️. “The Life Ahead” was a gritty yet tender remake of the 1977 film “Madame Rosa.” This time, Sophia Loren plays the Holocaust survivor who takes in a Senegalese street kid. I think Loren is a dark horse 🐎 for best leading actress in the Academy Awards.
