The book discuss how women are controlled by religion and custom more than by men. I felt that those women who spend their life inside four wall of their house is really talented and their mind wishes to fly like a free birds. I hope the readers never find bored while reading because Mernissi had beautifully tied the story of her life. The novel helps us know about muslin customs in Morroco and system of harem.
