First off, what is up with the 98 percent rotten tomatoes critic score. I don't buy it. This score has to be manufactured. With that said, So forever and ever fans of the Aliens movies have cried about having Aliens arrive on Earth. What those fans wanted was alien pandemonium, chaos, insanity, and action. Finally it "happens" and the best they could come up with is a stalker movie in a deteriorating building? And the stalker isn't even an Alien?! It's a synthetic? Why are we even in the building, like, they're not trapped in space. They can literally turn around and walk out the front door. "Ugh, that weird crab thing they've got in a jar on the mantle is freaking me out, I'm leaving" sort of thing. Also everything looks too clean, too Disney, it's all so artificial. This was bad, if people like this I'm really out of touch then, because although I love Alien movies and have been mostly forgiving, this is atrocious. Feels like terrible fan fiction
