The covenant of Water is one of most amazing books I have read. It presents the roller coaster journey of two main characters, big ammachi and Mariamma. It’s a female protagonist book showing all its characters under different lights.
Alongside, it does draw a beautiful image of pre-independence and post independence society of India. Also the waters and land of Kerala are presented beautifully.
I just love the book and recommend it to every reader.
