It was ok, but didn't really go anywhere. I do like we saw the perspectives from both Cherry and Laura and how their own versions of events differed slightly, and we'll never know whose version was more true as they were both completely unhinged. However I was expecting some kind of climax or plot twist or big reveal.....but all that happened in the end was what we already knew: that The Girlfriend was a loon. We already saw this throughout the whole show, so really, what was the point of it?

Anyone who thinks this is a good show really shouldn't be allowed to watch television. You have one of those protagonists whose demise you're praying for, and a villain you saw coming a mile away. Bad writing, bad acting, disjointed storyline, total waste of time. I will no longer watch Channel 5 'thrillers'. Each one I've seen has been worse than the last.

It was good with some good laughs, however I feel like this could have pushed the comedy a little further. Plus, despite being two hours long, it felt rather condensed in places and that time could have been spent building up more suspects. The suspect list was so short, that it wasn't very difficult to deduce who the killer was. This might have worked a little better as maybe a three part mini series, making it three hours long. That way they could really get further into the story with some background information and build a good suspect list. Nevertheless a decent watch. Hope there's a sequel.

I don't think I've ever seen a show where I hated every single character in it. I think the whole point is to not like the Sinclair family, but they were so unlikeable that at one point I stopped watching this because they were just vexing me, then went back to it about a month later. I think you're supposed to feel sorry for the 'liars', especially Cadence, but she's just as irritating as the rest. And Gat isn't any better, he's just incredibly annoying, and not very bright staying somewhere where he isn't even wanted. And while it's trying to pass itself off as a dramatic thriller, it comes across as a bad comedy masquerading as a thriller. And I'm not sure if that's purposeful or just very bad writing. It was unnecessarily stretched out and might have done better as a 2hr movie than an 8-part series. Most of it was just the sisters bickering. Nonetheless I watched until the end as I wanted to know what happened to Cadence. And the ending somewhat made up for the rest of the show. There was a decent twist that I did not see coming actually, it was done well. But it wasn't quite enough to anchor the show completely. My score of one is solely for the ending.

I was a bit worried watching this as I really enjoyed the original...and I think we've learned that leaving a sequel so long, is often not a good idea. (Beverley Hills Cop 4, Zoolander 2, Coming 2 America, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, etc). However.....this film was brilliant, I laughed from beginning to end. It matched the energy of the first movie perfectly. Jamie Lee Curtis will always remain one of my favourite actresses and she's an amazing comedy actress. Lindsay Lohan was fabulous in this and even the new actresses, did a good job. Although if I could have made one tweak, I would have preferred a different actress to play the role of Lily....maybe an actual British actress instead of someone putting on a not so good English accent. So of the new releases for Friday 8th August I watched this and Weapons, and this was far superior to Weapons and I'm actually a die hard horror fan...so this is saying something!

This is why I don't get excited when a film is over-hyped online, because usually when that happens, a movie ends up being quite sub par, and that's how I felt watching this film. I'd seen the trailer and knew what the film was about, so I went in knowing something about the movie, but was very intrigued as to know what happened to these children. Now....it's not a bad film, it's not a bad film in any sense. It was all these rave reviews and praises making it seem so much more than it was, when really....it was a very standard horror film. And that is also how I feel about Barbarian. Both movies have a good build up and intense scenes, unique concepts, bur for some reason the execution of these films doesn't live up to the premise of each movie. The reveals are so underwhelming after the build up. It was such an interesting idea, but it just didn't deliver. Acting wise it did well, especially the young actor playing Alex...he stole the movie really. It's almost like the director knows the depths of story but neglected to let the audience know, and maybe that works for some viewers as it's all open to interpretation, but these kinda films do not work for me. So it's seeing as I can't score half marks, I've given a 3, but it's more a 2.5/5.

I really am not pleased with how the show ended. I suppose they're expecting a season 2, which is totally unnecessary. They should have just wrapped it up as a mini series as I'm sure it's based on a standalone book. It was a good show with some twists and turns here and there but it's just obvious who the killer is from the beginning in my opinion. There is just no need for them to stretch this out any further. One season would have been enough. I wouldn't bother to watch the second season. A decent watch though.

It was a decent slasher. Although I felt some of the tropes used (like the killers motive) was a bit boring. That is the oldest motive in the book. The acting really wasn't very good at all from some of the main cast. Had this been cast differently with a few tweaks here and there, it had the potential to be better than the original. But I think they kinda fall on the same line. While the original has far better actors and some brilliant death scenes, the storyline does not make any sense at all. This is really a 2/5 film but I had to up my score for the killer reveal and the surprise cameos, and all the nods to the original film. A decent watch but nothing to write home about.

I'm not sure who read this script and thought it was a good idea to unleash onto the public. I thought the first one was bad but was intrigued by the second movie and decided to watch it, not thinking it could be even worse....but it really was. A mix of bad acting, a terrible, terrible script and disjointed plot made this one of the worst films I've ever seen.
