What on earth was this? What was the point of this film? It was like being given a platter of food that was devoid of seasoning. Unfortunately it just did not work. It was just far too random to be a good film. It lacked any depth or any substance. Trying to add that she was grieving, suicidal mother didn't help at all. I couldn't resonate with her, the whole film was just very two-dimensional and even though I think Finn Wittrock is a good actor, not even he could save this mess.

They don't give Oscars for movies like this, but if they ever did, Naomi Scott would deserve one for sure. While I thought Sosie Bacon did an outstanding job in the first film, Naomi Scott knocks it out the park with her portrayal of trouble singer, Skye Riley. There were some creepy scenes in the film, and there was one cinema goer who jumped out of her seat and ran to the back of the cinema, hiding (absolutely hilarious), but for me the scares weren't enough and I felt the film was still lacking something. It was too long and could have done with being at least 20 mins shorter. But it was good.

Megan Fox playing an android....wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and any of her other roles, she's such a wooden actress. Perfect role for her. But anyways.... This is almost a sci-fi version of The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, with the actress Madeline Zima who played the little girl in the 1992 psycho nanny film, playing the role of the ill wife in this movie. While this film had some good concepts, nothing was really original. It pulled ideas from other projects like Humans and Westworld. So in order to set itself apart from other AI shows/films, it needed to pull something spectacular out of the bag, something fresh and it failed to do so. It was a rather lacklustre film that didn't deliver as it should have.

*****SPOILERS***** I've just watched the TV series, but I have not read the book. I googled the ending of the book, and I can see that both conclusions were quite underwhelming. All that build up just for the killer to be her student who she rejected? And I assume in the book, the boyfriend killed her because she was about to break up with him. Such an interesting and unique idea for a story only to have the ending ruined by a lazy reveal is very disappointing. Once you reach episode 5 and see it was Ben who was holding Cass hostage, I knew then that it was Max who had killed Helen and his parents were covering for him. They really had a chance to be quite creative here and failed unfortunately. But other than that it was a good show. But left a few things open such as, who was following Pamela? Was it the same lady who she revealed broke into her home? Who was the woman Susan gave the USB to? A little bit more information on Pamela's daughter's murder would have been nice. A decent watch all the same.

I've never read the book and I haven't seen the original film/mini series, so I was not sure exactly what to expect from this movie. And while it was an ok film, it felt rather bland for a vampire film. There was no context, no build up. It might have worked better as a mini series maybe where they could build a story, because let's face it, there was no story here. It was like being given a plate of food with no seasoning whatsoever, not even a pinch of salt. Very disappointing watch and I'm actually quite surprised Stephen King gave his approval on this one. The main little kid was a really the best thing about this film and that's about it.

It was a decent film up until sort of halfway through. Then it got silly, got good again and then was ruined by an absolutely awful ending. Think it was trying a little too hard with the shock factor and gory body horror, that it went way over the top and lost its way. Which is a shame because the storyline was great, the acting was great and it could have been a really good film.

This was an awful film. It's slow and boring but had the potential be a really creepy film given its setting and era. But unfortunately it failed to deliver. Not even Sarah Paulson could save this film. Premise was so interesting but the execution was very poor. Just didn't work for me.

I thought this film was absolutely awful. There just wasn't any point to it, any build up, unanswered questions....it was complete mess. John Cho is a good actor but not even he could save this mess.

Whoever tried to compare this Buffy, obviously has not seen Buffy.

What even was the point of this film? It was a complete waste of time. I was wary of watching it because I thought X was just very average and I didn't even bother watching Pearl, but from the trailers, this looked promising. In a way it paid homage to the gory horrors of the 80s, but for me it was lacking any depth, substance and I felt the supporting casts talents were absolutely wasted in this film. Some of the bugger names cast really didn't get to shine enough on screen. Then when you find out who the killer was, it was a bit of a let down and at that point I just didn't care anymore.
