#Spoiler Alert I rate this movie 5/10. The animation was pretty good and that was about it. I was very excited coming into this movie but was let down pretty hard. The story was okay. Even though Piccolo got a new form, when he was fighting he looked very weak and so did the androids. I know Cell Max was supposed to be very strong so piccolo would look weak but I just wasn't buying it and piccolo looked weaker than he was in z. Also, Piccolo is supposed to be a fighting genius and he couldn't remember that he could turn into a giant. Also when Piccolo was fighting the other androids it looked very basic even though I know he was holding back, the only moves I remember them doing is kneeing them in the stomach. The other Androids were very cheesy, not really something to complain about but yeah. There were maybe one or two funny jokes but this movie's humor was childish and cringey. Gohan had a cool power-up, with some nice animation hitting cell with a special move. Also Cells bomb should have easily had the power to blown up Earth, but instead, it left only a little crater. I know that could be the work of Dr hedo to make the explosion smaller. The fighting in this movie could have way better choreography and more consistency with power levels. Also, the ending was not to my liking. Piccolo is my favorite character in the series and I was happy with the screen time that they gave him. But I was not happy the way the fights went with him. He didn't use any cool techniques or use his famous intellect. Piccolo trains almost every day but the best techniques he used during fighting was kneeing to the stomach and just holding cell max. I cant wrap my head around that. Goten and trunks fighting was disappointing as well. One fix for this movie is to make the end fight longer so the characters get a chance to fight longer , and show better techniques, showing of their Dragon ball flair, showing off the reason why I fell in love with dragon ball. I know that this costs a lot of extra money and time. The reasons above is why I rank this movie 5/10. However the visuals and animation were very good.
