*"LOVE HOSTEL"* has got ⭐⭐⭐ rating! (Streaming on Zee5) It's about a two star-crossed lovers, who elope and get married. But their family doesn’t approve of it & hires a hitman to kill both of them. Its a very dark film, showing the uglier side of our society about honour killing. Dialogues are average. _Sanya Malhotra_ and _Vikrant Massey_ have a great chemistry. _Bobby Deol_ is decent & he does manage to bring the fear alive on screen. Music is forgettable. Direction is okay. On the whole, it is a timepass fare but not recommended for rom com audiences. 💥🗡️🔪🪓🧨💣🔫🩸💔

*"THE FAME GAME"* has got ⭐⭐⭐ rating! (Streaming on Netflix) Its about a prestigious superstar who suddenly disappears without a trace. Story is intriguing and it blends mystery, suspense, thrill and drama a lot. But the screenplay is bit stretched and slow in the beginning portions. _Madhuri Dixit_ is terrific. She owns this series. _Manav Kaul_ is apt for the part. _Sanjay Kapoor_ plays his character perfectly. _Muskkaan Jaferi_ is a big surprise of the show. _Suhasini Mulay_ is too good. The music is forgettable. Direction is neat and simple. Editing could have been razor sharp. On the whole,it's a timepass series and a must watch for _Madhuri's_ fans. 🎞️📽️🎥📹✨💅🏻💃🏻🤳🏻💄💋

*"RUNWAY 34"* has got ⭐⭐⭐ rating! It is loosely based on the story of the narrow escape that a flight from _Doha to Kochi_ had a few years ago due to unclear visibility and bad weather conditions. Story is novel & gripping. Dialogues are sharp. The first half of the film is almost entirely dedicated to the flight accident. _Ajay Devgn_ is sublime and impressive with his direction and acting in the film. _Amitabh Bachchan_ is outstanding as usual. _Rakul Preet Singh_ is good. _Boman Irani_ is okay. YouTube star _CarryMinati_ plays himself in the film. VFX and background music is superb. Editing is lazy. Could have been more crispier. Overall, it's a one time watch! ✈️🛫🛬⚡💥🔥🔳🔺✈️

*"ANEK"* has got *⭐⭐⭐½* rating! Its about an undercover cop who is on a mission to restore peace in the Northeast region of India. An attempt to shed light on the socio-political conflicts in that region. Story & screenplay is unique, but it could have done with a tighter screen time. _Ayushmann Khurrana_ delivers one of his best performance till date. _Manoj Pahwa, Andrea Kevichüsa, Kumud Mishra, Loitongbam Dorendra, and JD Chakraverti_ supported brilliantly. Direction is simply superb. Regional dialect, folk songs, the background score, the production design, the visual tone, cinematography and action pieces everything is just perfect & apt for this flick. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but still one can go for it, as it force you to think about equality and justice in the context of religion, caste, gender and region as well. ⚔️🗡️🔪🪓🧨💣🔫🛡️⚰️🪦

*"HELMET"* has got ⭐⭐⭐ rating! It tackles the topic of condom use and explores people’s mindset and attitude when buying condoms from stores in public view. Screenplay is interesting. _Aparshakti Khurrana_ impresses in this solo leading act. His comic timing is top-notch. _Abhishek Banerjee_ and _Ashish Verma_ offer good comedy punches too. _Pranutan Behl_ is impressive. Direction is good. Music is passable. Overall, the quirky comedy tops with defined performances and relevant social message make this film a good watch. 🤷🏻‍♂️🪢🤷🏻‍♂️🪢🤷🏻‍♂️🪢🤷🏻‍♂️🪢🤷🏻‍♂️

*"ATTACK - Part 1"* has got *⭐⭐½* rating! Its a sci-fi-led story about a super soldier out to save the nation in its darkest hour. Story is novel for Indian audiences. The writing is quick and effective but the climax is weak. Editing is crisp. _John Abraham_ is in great form. He is simply amazing in action sequences. Jacqueline Fernandez is lovely & she dies once again. She has a cameo to be killed. _Rakul Preet Singh_ puts up a confident act. _Prakash Raj_ is quite entertaining. _Ratna Pathak Shah_ is wasted. Direction is okay. Music is weak. VFX is terrific. Go for it, if Sci-fi patriotism is your thing. 💂🏻‍♂️👨🏻‍🦼👩🏼‍⚕️🤖🦾🦿👊🏻💥🔥

*"HASEEN DILLRUBA"* has got ⭐⭐⭐ rating! It revolves around an earnest engineer, his frisky wife, her hunky lover and a biased police officer. Story is rivetting and it has its moments. Turn and twists keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats. The music in the film is soothing and lovely but the biggest strength of the film is wonderful acting. _Vikrant_ and _Taapsee steal_ the show with great acting. _Harshvardhan Rane_ is also good, and a word also for _Aditya Shrivastava_ who delivers a fine act. Direction is fine. Editing is good but it could have been more crispier. This flick tackles multiple genres of mystery, drama, crime, romance...everything! And even that may bother to some... 💔🔪🧨💣💥💕😳😭🥵

*"BETAAL"* has got ⭐⭐⭐ rating! It is _Shah Rukh Khan's_ second outing with NetFlix. Its a zombie horror web series consists of 4 episodes. Special effects are really good. Story is too dark but interesting. _Viineet Kumar Singh_ is perfect in his role. _Aahana Kumra_ lends able support. _Jitendra Joshi_ is a surprise package of this series. The narrative is all over the place with the focus constantly shifting from one to another. Direction is good. The climax is kind of predictable and nothing extraordinary. A must watch for horror genre lovers. 👍🏻🧟‍♂️👍🏻🧟‍♂️👍🏻🧟‍♂️👍🏻🧟‍♂️👍🏻

The inspiration for the title comes from the two puppets that appear at periodic intervals – "Gulabo and Sitabo" – who seem to be constantly at loggerheads. Story is about a landlord and his tenant who is paying no rent since years. _Mr. Bachchan_ does everything effortlessly & one can see here clearly. He sinks into the character and every facet of it. _Ayushmann_ has now become the poster child of heartland India, and once again he brings something new to the table. _Srishti Shrivastava_ emerges as the surprise package. Direction is good but misses the mark of being a _Shoojit Sircar_ film. Music is apt. Location is real and captivating. Slow pace is the only hiccup of this flick. Watch it for some mind-blowing performances & the rustic mood. 👍🏻🎭👍🏻🎭👍🏻🎭👍🏻🎭

*"KHUDA HAAFIZ"* has got ⭐⭐ rating! It is a story of a simple man whose wife goes missing under mysterious circumstances in a foreign country. Screenplay is engaging but story has nothing new to deliver. We have been through such plots ample of times. _Vidyut Jamwal_ is endearing not only in action sequences but also in emotional scenes. _Shivalika Oberoi_ is okay. _Anu Kapoor_ is excellent. Direction and location is good. But too much Arabic accents confuses the viewers. Music is passable. Watch it if you have nothing to do to kill your time! 👊🏻💥👊🏻💥👊🏻💥👊🏻💥👊🏻
