A shocking documentary about the aftermath of Persian Gulf war and its impact on nature and people of then devastated Kuwait. The images (mostly shot by helicopter), interviews with suffered local people dealing with the deadly legacy of war and narration are apocalyptic. Ending of the movie, when oil well firefighters, covered in black smelly crude, try to tame a blazing well, is terrific. An absolute must see and another five-star movie from German master of cinema, Werner Herzog.
