Absolute pain in the bum to read, irrelevant side stories, poems, whole pages of names and useless information. Don't understand the blank pages or the one word pages, or the upside down pages, total waste of paper, could have done the so called horror story in a third of the paper....Bought it as a holiday book, manged to finish it and I'll be leaving it behind with a "may bore you to sleep" warning. Don't waste your money.

Having read I am Pilgrim and loved it, I was disappointed in Year of the locust, it's 3 books in one, 3 different stories, and its all over the place after the fist one. What was the point of finding Magus on the island, if only for the ending? How on earth can the time travel story be so awful? Let alone the lame ending. And.... the hint we were given in the back of I am Pilgrim was a totally different book! There were the first few chapters, these were not in this book, and the characters had changed names. I loved Pilgrim, I did read all of Year of the locust, but it won't be staying on my book shelf. It's almost embarrassing to read. Sorry, Terry, this should have waited another couple of years and been thoroughly proof read.
