The opening of the movie jumped around so much it was incredibly hard to follow. And the subsequent movie missed chunks of time so no real unfolding of events. I only understood it because I’d seen a documentary on Oppenheimer beforehand.
So much dialogue. Very little tension considering what was going on. And not at all what you’d expect from Nolan (it’s fine to do something different, but at least do it in a way that holds the audience’s attention). But mostly I didn’t feel invested in the characters or ‘action’ (there really wasn’t too much) - there was no emotional connection at all
I actually considered leaving because I was bored, but my husband fell asleep and I didn’t want to disturb him 😂
I was so excited for this movie and my rating is very reluctant. But it’s an honest rating. I’ve no doubt others will love it. Just not for me 😔
