Interesting movie. Imagine Kafka writing Groundhog Day after reading An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge while binge-watching The Prisoner. The fun comes from the story being folded onto itself so many times that you're not sure which way is up. Did he escape? Was the escape yet another ruse and he finally cracked? Or was it all just a play provided by his brain as it languished on life support? It did run a bit long. I lost interest about halfway and decided to watch the rest the following evening. A good movie and impressive for being produced on a shoestring budget.

It's not going to win any awards but it's good enough for burning a couple of hours on a Saturday. Formulaic action movie with an A-list cast, which almost certainly helped the production budget. Netflix redeemed itself with this movie, after wasting nine minutes of my life with "Polar."

Spoiler alert but I think this is a public service: The opening scene features Johnny Knoxville getting some oral before he is murdered by people who look like refugees from "The Hunger Games" or assassins deemed too tacky for a "Austin Powers" movie. And that is where my viewing experience ended. I didn't even get to see Mads Mikkelsen before I decided Netflix had frittered away enough of my time. Maybe I'll give it another shot at some future date but probably not.
