It was boring. They dealt with some pretty relevant topics and showed progressive black people in successful roles, but unfortunately this is just a subset of what the black culture is and a lot of us are not upper middle class but the working poor, first generation college and one half of a generation out the hood. None of the storylines were relatable. The characters were pretty one dimensional and lack depth, and the comedy was mediocre. The main female character Simone being sexually liberated were the only entertaining parts of the show, which also sends the very uncomfortable message that black women being overly sexual and having lose morals is the only way we are paletable to society. Although I liked many things about this series, I disliked more.
