this book literally supports borderline pedophilia and incest. this is not okay and since romance is heavily aimed at impressionable, teenage girls, this literally teaches them that large age gaps and incest are so lovey dovey and romantic when in reality, leads to years of irreparable trauma, and ugly kids. plus, the mc ends up with the guy who basically assaulted her. fun! 😍

i absolutely love the first 30-40 mins of this movie. the suspense was absolutely phenomenal and the acting of the antagonist was so utterly amazing and detailed. there were some unoriginal scenes but everything was still decent. but soon after that with a tragic event happening (no spoilers!) the whole plot starts to get exceedingly cliche and sloppy. but things start to unfortunately get worse from there as when the main character finally escapes, everything starts to get so extremely rushed and chaotic. the ending was very obviously hurried and there wasn’t any thought put into literally anything 😭 there was SO much potential for the ending of this movie and to truly be something great but instead we, as the audience, receive a cheap, poorly constructed, mess of a film. dang!
