This book did not resonate with me at all. It was meandering and boring. It seemed like all RuPaul did in his formative years was slack off and do drugs but his belief in his own future as a star carried him through. Not for me.

I have read all of Kate Morton’s books and loved them so I was excited to get this one. Unfortunately it is so painfully meandering that I am finding I have to force myself to keep reading. I’m almost 200 pages in and am not feeling compelled to keep going. A disappointment for sure.
