I’ve never watched the movie even though it’s a classic. Glad I did! I couldn’t get over the young faces of the main characters who have gone on to be BIG names and even better actors. The plot was pretty predictable. I mean if he’s too good to be true, they usually are. But even then, the quality acting still had me on the edge of my seat and got chills from time to time. There were parts in the movie where Reese Witherspoon (Nicole) would scream Bloody Mary in public and I couldn’t help but find that hilarious because it gives 90s drama and all the dramatics. I knocked off a star be cause I hate hate hate how they did Kaiser Toby (their dog). It was just tacky and the drama wasn’t needed. But seeing that this was in 1996, I’m not surprised. It definitely wouldn’t have flown over today’s viewers.
