I cannot for the life of me understand how this movie was given such rave reviews. I wasn’t a huge fan of any movies in the series but gave this one a shot because of the high ratings. I’m not sure I’ve even seen a bigger waste of acting talent. For one, I’ve liked Keanu Reaves in many roles, but he gets completely outshined by far superior actors. Unfortunately most of the acting talent is squandered on a terrible and predictable storyline where you end up not even really caring about what happens to most of the characters or how it even ends, in general. Bill Skarsgard puts on another great acting performance, but it wasn’t enough to carry this movie past mediocrity. The mindless, repetitive action gets so ridiculous it’s almost an insult to your intelligence. How many times can “skilled fighters” miss point blank shots at JW? The action scenes are too drawn out and redundant. It kills me so see people calling this the best action move or series of all time, because to me it’s so far off the mark, it’s not even funny. Did I watch a different movie than these people raving with a 9 or 10 out of 10?
