If you look at the economy of the 1890's you will find the rising industrialization in America paying wages of $1.50-$2.50 per day. Barely above the poverty level but nonetheless they were in the top 1% of wage earners in the world. People would give anything to move to America. Also the threat is no longer over population but under population. The birth rate in developed countries is no longer out pacing the death rate. China although far from developed has it the worst as worker shortages are increasing. Too many people were diverted by central planning from agriculture to energy and wages are rising and productivity is going down as savings were taken by the government. Japan will have 35% fewer people in 50 years. The reason it's going down so quickly is due to a lack of immigration. Why are these facts not in the media?
