I think the story line is great. I don't like the writing style at all. example: I shiver as I enter the forest instead of, I shivered as I entered the forest. I stop and rest the spade handle, rather than stopped and rested the spade handle. It takes away from the story for me personally. I try to avoid this type of writing as it irritates me for some reason.
