I don't know that I will find love, as this movie has stolen my heart.
I might be joking, to be determined. At the very least I'd advocate everyone watch it if they have the opportunity to do so.
It's difficult to know where to begin with this film, but my general opinion is that it's brilliant and delivers precisely what it promises and intends to. It articulates its messages directly in an immersive manner that is relatable to to all (though yeah, maybe not suitable for young children).
In brief*, you'll smile, giggle, laugh cross your arms, contemplate existence, hate taxes, shed some tears, roll your eyes, squirm, maybe even stand up and question your understanding of understanding of expectations and behavior. I don't know that it touches on any concepts that aren't familiar to most, but, rest assured, the perspective it offers is fresh and presented with the perfect balance of sincerity and absurdity to be entertaining and heartening. They navigate some of "life's big questions" without selling solutions, offering cliche advice, or seeming disingeniiys. Rather, quasi-taboo topics are addressed directly, they simply say what hasn't been said or heard enough by most.
I would even say it's worth a visit to the theater -- one of those types of experiences that is enhanced by experiencing it in a room full of strangers. I did see it by myself the first time in a practically empty theater though and it was just as impactful as the second viewing in a larger crowd with company, so if you're skeptical about the hype, I'd say to watch it however you please. But watch it.
You are not who you are...you are everything, and so on, but not in a tired way? 10/10, well done.
