It seems nearly every critic reviewing this movie is either a musical-hater or someone who just never got the charms of this particular show. As one of the millions of people who got it, I can say that while the movie may not be the perfect adaptation of Cats, if you're a fan of this unique concept musical you should enjoy the movie. A couple of the numbers were not cast the way I might have (particularly the two pop stars), but overall the movie is true to the spirit of the show. As for the so-called "horror" of the effects, all I can say is ????. I was unaware going in that the costumes were added digitally and I was completely fooled. Amazing is a better word for the effects.
