I went to see the film because of a positive review I had heard on the radio earlier in the day. The second half of the film seemed to drag on forever, and the ending struck me as bland.
I always stick around til all the credits are through. I did so and unlike the protagonist returning to supplement the plot, as in Ferris Bueler's Day Off, Isaac's return struck me as irrational.
Afterward, as I was walking out, I spoke with two persons and asked each whether she would recommend the film to another. Both said no, adding that the plot struck her as "weird." I agreed 100%.
If a film fails to inspire its watchers 1) to see it again, or 2) to eagerly encourage their friends to see it, the film will sputter and whither, never exceeding its budget, and I can easily foresee this film as being an ignominious dud.
If you see this film, please let me your opinion because I hope I am wrong. I love to see indy films soar with succes, such as "Lars and the Real Girl." Mark MFBrinton@gmail
