I advise reading the graphic novel prologue of the material before going into the movie just because a lot is cleared up. For example, the part about the Russians dropping a virus on America that makes people either freakishly tall or really short is left out for some reason?? What you need to know before watching this documentary film is that the main character is a mutant because of the Soviet toxins dropped decades earlier. Instead of living with her own kind in tall people concentration camps, she instead experiences different weather from normal people (because of her height). Someone might be having a nice sunny day but since she is taller she might be going through a snow storm. The movie overall is pretty good, I wish I could rewrite some scenes to fit the Tall Girl canon established in the comics better but it is a mostly faithful interpretation of the source material. Good movie, not long enough, didn’t include the prologue and I’m hoping for a tall girl trilogy that follows this girl as she grows taller and taller while also growing taller and taller emotionally.
