Just watched your episode on bow hunting elk, and the taking of a huge bull. Unbelieveably you gut-shot that magnificent animal and couldn't recover him until the next morning. I can be sure that a lot of the meat was lost to spoilage overnight. If your show's about meat hunting, don't glorify taking a risky shot at a monster elk, then losing a good deal of the meat.
If you're a true meat hunter, you'll wait until you get a certain shot at a younger animal. If that shot doesn't happen, then go home and be thankful you had a day in the field.
Your elk program illustrated everything that's wrong with trophy hunting and none of what's good about meat hunting..
