I never feel bored or fed up when every time I watch this splendid war event at sea. The characters are marvellous, it is just so exiting to watch. I am always there with them, on the ship and I know practically all the lines the actors speak. My dream was to become a naval officer in my homeland(Turkiye) and my dad was a naval officer. But could not pass the entry exams. So, I watch all those war films with great interest and I imagine myself on the bridge of a destroyer gazing, sweeping the horizon with great enthusiasm. The CRUEL SEA and IN WHICH WE SERVE are my favourites. I am Turkish by birth! A pensioner now(83).

I do not watch it. Culturally speaking, it means nothing to me as I am not English!

EXCELLENT HEART THROBING, HEART TWISTING, SOUL ERRUPTING AND DEVASTATING TRUE LOVE STORY WHICH MAKES ME CRY WHENEVER I HAPPEN TO WATC IT. MARVELLOUSLY ACTED OUT. ONE ALMOST FEELS THAT ONE IS ALMOST WITH THEM EVERY STEP OF THE WAY; LIKE A FLY ON THE WALL.ONE DOYEN AND ONE DOYENNE...THESPIANS.
