It's weird to say it, but this movie struck me as better than the book. The book plods with its detailed descriptions and motivations, while the movie simply shows the same details and communicates it instantly in pictures. And where the book felt slow-paced, the movie moves masterfully from one part of the plot to another. People will still be fans 20 years from now.
