Kratos is back to guide us through the chaos once again. But this time, he finds himself in a world beyond his control, the world of parenting a teenager. The chaos outside he can handle, whether by axe, blades, spears or fists. But the chaos boiling over in his son always threatens to elude and consume him. Brilliantly voiced, vibrantly portrayed and frenetically paced, this sprawling epic will dazzle you, thrill you and even emotionally impact you. This surpassed my expectations and brought me such joy as I have been following the saga of the Ghost of Sparta for 20 years. It does not disappoint.

It had more introspective character development and analysis of modern social issues than the typical Marvel fanboy/girl would have liked, I imagine, but it was a welcome departure for me. I wanted to know how the world would deal with the billions displaced by Thanos, or how Bucky would handle PTSD from his Assassin past or how Sam would reconcile his role as a patriotic hero in the context of the reality of Black America. I found the finale powerful, emotional and thoughtful.
