I should give this one star, but still enjoyed the trip to the theatre. Seriously. this movie is SO poorly written and disjointed, that it really seemed to be a spoof on the real JP franchise. Too many examples to list but here are some:
1) Dinosaur dying in New York causing a traffic jam. No explanation why a dinosaur is in the city, just that they are dying everywhere.
2) Rupert and Zora go the museum to meet Dr. Henry Loomis. He is distraught over the lack of public interest in dinosaurs, which still has a skeleton display in its closing exhibit, though there is a dying dinosaur just outside.
3) In the car ride to the museum, Zora and Rupert's awkward and forced conversation makes it clear that they do not know each other, and Zora is not even sure why he asked to meet with her, yet in the museum, when Dr. Loomis states that he "needs a moment" to consider if he should go on their quest, Zora states, "Take all the time you need, my whole life has led up to this moment," while the Dr. awkwardly crunches on his Altoids, which I guess was supposed to be funny?
This was the first 10 minutes or so, and the entire movie was like this.
