They strayed far from the book. The personalities are nothing like the book, and the characters were drastically changed to meet political correctness. Also my kid didn’t even sit through it. She watches everything.

This is one the worst movies disney has ever made. The descendants movies haven't been good, but it's like this one is thrown together hastily and poorly acted and produced. The songs sound extremely nasally, the lip syncing is awful, and the story is cliche. I am sad for Cameron Boyce because he had such talent, but this movie is plain awful. From a marriage proposal for teenagers to the veiled immigration for all to the provocative dancing to the rip off of other famous songs. It's just terrible.
