I was so excited for the barbie movie. It was gonna be a fun thing where I dressed up in pink young children will not understand this film at all the stuff about capitalism and sexism and the patriarchy. They won’t know about any of that stuff which takes quite a big chunk out the film it will just go completely off of their head so if you’re thinking of taking a young child to this movie dancing again, because when I was a child I used to play with Barbies. Are used to watch the Barbie films and quite honestly. I watch the trailer so I knew that it wasn’t going to be like Barbie goes to vist mermaid land to go and steal the crown back that was stolen from her the people who were unprepared probably did think it would be like that again. I just thought that it was quite Cringey and also in the end. Yes women get their equality back but what the men were fighting for before went completely down the drain. They didn’t even get up wink of equality and I heard something about maybe one day everything will be equal and one of my friends cousin started crying when they heard that he couldn’t be equal to a woman. The movie kind of just puts happy seems, and then randomly puts a few serious scenes in between those it’s a very bad mix of them. It’s got sexism , Barbie gets cat called shamed a lot of stuff that’s not suitable for children
