I'm a die hard fan of all Godzilla and Kong franchise movies. Every of these movies made me have goosebumps and repeatedly watched them many many times till my family asked "why this againnnnn??" But this GxK TNE... it's entertaining yes, but it's so bland I was bore out from the first half hour. In my heart I was screaming "WTH was that?!?!?! NOOOOOO!!" All the human characters (except Ilene and Jia which are the main characters to connect all the dots) are so unnecessary and soulless. The Iwi Tribe at Hollow Earth.. this part can be so much more interesting but the entire storyline were so rush there wasn't enough time to cook the ingredients longer before it's being served. It's totally wasted. Not to mention the annoying Bernie. He's totally pointless. Slash him out from this movie and we won't miss anything. The vet (I don't even remember his name now..) just popped out of nowhere, having a theme music of his own and trying to woo audiences with his pointless charm. Again, totally unnecessary. Well, perhaps slightly useful when he's needed to extract Kong's tooth, other than that, the scriptwriter could have saved some time on this character. There are too much unnecessary character building for the vet. About the monsters... WHY is Godzilla moving so fast in this movie?! It's supposed to be a mature and composed creature that is poised and majestic!! But look at it in this movie!!! Where are you guys rushing to?!?! C'monnnn let Godzilla be Godzilla please!!!!! Yes he's a giant radiated lizard, but he's the guardian of the earth with brain!! You are portraying it like a hot-headed teen that knows nothing except destructions and fighting. Tsk tsk tsk. I wonder why do Toho allowed it to happen. Nothing much to comment about Kong. Still the same kind-hearted king with high intelligence, and he came to relief the slaves is something very noble to do. Mothra?! I'm sorry you are treated this way your majesty queen of all monsters. You are still majestic even if you only appeared as camo. I'm giving this movie 3.5/10. It's a big disappointment. Pls fire this director. He has spoiled the franchise. I hope you guys do better at the next one.
