Unlike some of the other reviewers - as a Native Hawaiian who does not speak ‘olelo Hawai’i fluently - I LOVE this show being in ‘olelo Hawai’i. It would not be the same in English for me. It is so powerful to hear the language that my Tutu kane had beaten out of him, spoken for a full hour. I hope people will be able to check their English speaking bias, their privilege of hearing most media in their first language, and can get on board with something not being tailored to them and their needs for once. So pleased at how accurate the history and culture have been so far. So much pride!! Thank you cast and crew for this work!
