The News Hour is our go to place for unbiased, fact-checked news, however the segment on bring art to rural America was so condescending to those of us who ACTUALLY LIVE in rural America. There is a lot of amazing art throughout rural America which those who live in more urban areas NEVER see. People in rural America are known to travel several hours to see special exhibits as distance is relative out here - I drive at least 30 min one way to a grocery store! Maybe some of the artists who are trying to “educate” us to art, should set up reciprocal exhibits! There is an original Chautauqua near me and there are a lot of cultural events held there. Do any of you actually KNOW why the Chautauquas were set up and what they were used for? You are NOT helping those of us in rural America who are trying to turn states blue with these reports as you just come across as the Costal Elites trying to tell those of us “rubes in the country” what is best for us and that you will “take care” of us.
