Hard core alien fan..why is it so difficult to write a decent Alien based formula that hits the target ? With the exception of Ade Edminson ..Timothy Olypant and Wendy i have seen little to impress me. I enjoy the subtle hat tips to the original..but they are few and far between... can we stop with the strobe lights and poorly lit set pieces and enjoy the Alien in all its glory without the need to shroud it in darkness and jump scares..I'm all for atmosphere but can somebody turn on a light switch now and again. The build up here has been far more impressive that the end result ( after 2 episodes ) and I'm struggling to have a good reason to keep watching...here's an idea.. get 20 of the biggest Alien nerds in a room and get them to write the story.. guaranteed winner...I'm away to watch the original and get my Alien fix
