I'm not sure what I was expecting from this book, but it blew me away! I'm currently home recovering from an op, and I'd made a plan to alternate watching a programme on TV and reading a chapter of the book to keep my brain and eyes exercised - it hasn't worked out that way, I read about 4 chapters to every programme I watched! I was hooked from the start; it's fairly fast paced, so descriptive your imagination has a great time helping you picture the scene, and you find you'd skin crawls in all the right places. When I read I often have a voice in my head, and right the way through I could hear Martin's voice as Johnny, took me back to his Eastender days! In short, I loved it, thank you Martin!
