Revealing. Maddening. Disturbing. Questioning. Promises made and broken. Well made film, well acted, main characters devoted to duties and sympathetic to the plight of the accused who was never formally accused. I’m less of an admirer of Barack Obama for his preventing the release of the imprisoned even after the federal judge set him free.

Interesting but flawed. NYPD cop is sent to Berlin in 1946 to help set up a proper (NY-style) police department post-WW2. Wearing 21st century-style black dress shirts and a scruffy beard he drops f-bombs on whoever he chooses, man, woman, or child. And, wanting us to believe he’s the toughest NY cop ever, he charges at some battle-hardened Soviet soldiers who have just killed some civilians. Come on film makers! Some semblance of reality is needed here. Have you not watched any WW2 films from the 40’s. So far the 3 episodes I’ve seen are laughable.
