Best show I've ever watched. The characters Shawn and his partner Gus are a classic duo. An iconic duo. Without them being in the show it would be no fun to watch. They are childhood friends and have been ever since. Shawn's dad is a retired cop but back when he was working for the Santa Barbra police department. He would test Shawn like a policemen would be tested. He teaches him lessons that are going to be helpful to him in the future. Shawn learns new techniques and prepares his brain for becoming a good cop. Later on Shawn solves another case for the department while watching the news about the crime being committed. He is then taken into questioning if being involved in the crimes himself but later proves hes not. Karen Vics the chief then hires Shawn and Gus to help solve a murder. This being childhood dreams of both of them they are ready to investigate. That being their first case. When they solve who did it they are proven to be dependable consultants to the department and are hired for more cases later on. They play out as psychic detectives for the Santa Barbra police department. Shawn claiming to be a psychic and Gus being his intelligible partner in crime. Gus has a side job of working in pharmaceuticals. Both Shawn and Gus create their own private detective team of,only them two,and office which is named Psych. They also do private cases for people who hire them to solve crimes. They make jokes all the time,Gus always has a nickname to use,and Shawn always comes up with some shenanigans by guessing a possible lead that no one thinks is legitimate. They work along side head detective Carlton Lassiter and his partner Juliet Ohera. Of course Lassiter thinks that Shawn is a fake and is always trying to figure out a way for him to get caught. Juliet on the other hand believes he is psychic. Both detectives second guess Shawn and Guses abilities when they come up with the craziest ideas on why the victim is dead. While Shawn and Gus follow a crazy lead,detectives Lassiter and Ohera follow up on leads they think is the case until Shawn and Gus prove them wrong. Finally when the investigation is solved they then prove again that they are worthy opponents that people should watch out for.
