Into Season Two, one of those series one likes having to fall back on. More than a little soapy, too many good looking people and a predictable story line even when things go badly. The neighborhood southerly togetherness is calming and the kids are the best thing about the show. The threesome friendship is terrific if over the top, and Coach is even more than too much never putting a foot wrong in his EVERpresence. Dad's southern accent is awful, and the worst casting is Spears as CeCe - she's just awkward compared to the easy shoe fit of everyone else. She'll win us through Kyle, but it doesn't feel good yet. The girls are wonderful and I'll stick with it. Being a romantic, I can't believe I wish for fewer kisses and a little less PDA. The plot is so good and serious, I wish that element were more woven into the relationships. Still thrilled to have this on my viewing list at the moment.
