I, like many, got sucked in by the promise of a Ryan Phillipi TV show. After 3 episodes I gave up any hope this show would redeem itself and stopped watching. I just read it has been picked up and I am dumbfounded as to why. Guess it takes all kinds (of viewers).

I wanted to enjoy this movie So much, particularly because Tessa Thomson is such an amazing actress and the previews make it look so lush. The move IS beautifully filmed, atmospheric, and well acted. Unfortunately the dialogue doesn't live up to the other components, the story is painfully predictable, and never actually goes anywhere. Beautiful to watch but not much more.
