This movie was amazing, captivating, raw. Despite the low rating by rotten tomatoes and other reviewers, I believe this movie was not made for them or mainstream. This movie depicted the chaos, hopelessness, violence that affects many low income, and disenfranchised communities. The movie is a glimpse into the lives of very dysfunctional, youth, and what happens when no one cares, and they are left to figure things out on their own. Many of us are privileged enough to have a home with healthy relationships and attachments that make us hopeful for the future, that allows us to walk one foot in front of the other. What if that was all taken away, no hope, no love, no future, no family, surrounded by stress and sadness, on a daily, hourly basis, every second of the day, how straight would your journey become. Sometimes life does not make sense and I think this movie shines a light on many who face this issue. It was beautifully made, it touched me deeply.
