It wasn't worth the wait. It might as well just be a DLC like it was originally supposed to be. They should have just stuck with that. Difficultly is so grossly overturned and I 100%ed the first game and I still feel this way. Random enemies can do double damage and all bosses do double damage even if you just run into them. The runbacks from the benches is also ridiculous. The cherry on top is for some reason they thought it would be a good idea to make us farm materials for our equipment? Biggest disappointment of 2025 in the gaming world.

I don't understand the hype. The game is so skin deep there is no depth to it whatsoever. It's a borderline boss rush game with souls like difficulty. It's mostly a light attack and dodge type of game. Becomes incredibly boring very fast. The bosses are cool and all but it's not enough to keep most people engaged. I wish I didn't waste the money, glad I waited and got it on disc for sale.

I've played the O.G. FF7, FF8, FF15, FF16 and FF7 remake and this is prob the worst one I've played. This should be called final fantasy 7 mini games. It's literally non-stop mini games, every chapter over and over with a jrpg story fit behind it. And the open world repetitive checklist trash quests are obnoxious making your journey a boring slog with a few cool moments slipped in. This game had so much potential to be good but the bad outweighs. It is 1,000% not worth buying full price. Wait till it comes on sale. Update: I couldn't even finish the game it was so bad , what a waste.

Devs always love ruining games that were fun in the beginning

This game is getting a lot of flack because of the first boss difficulty and it's totally understandable because morale rank isn't explained properly enough. I almost rage quit myself but after getting a general understanding of the mechanics specifically the importance of morale I've enjoyed the game very much. It's like a Sekiro/Nioh hybrid.

It's borderline shameless how many bugs and crashes there are on the PS5. The game is great, combat is fun, solid story and the maps make you want to explore every nook and cranny. It should be a 5 star review here but my God are you serious with these constant crashes and bugs? Make sure you hit a save point often during overland exploration otherwise you could lose a hour of progress finding collectables really easy to a crash. Get it together EA .

For what it is, it's a fun game. It's not a metroidvania but it has metroidvania qualities. It's mostly linear, short but good story, good protagonist, fun combat and surprisingly decent boss fights. There's something so satisfying as jump kicking an enemy into the air, stealing his bazooka and then blasting him before he falls. The combat mixes mostly melee weapons and kung Fu with an enemy weapon steal mechanic that calls for a good time. The game had so much potential to be better if they leaned more into the metroidvania qualities like an interconnected map with more backtracking and secret locations but if your looking for a fix you won't be disappointed. As of 5/9/2023 it's free on Xbox game pass.

Game is amazing first off. Honestly at first I wasn't so sure about it, the first hour/ hour and a half. I wasn't really feeling it. I thought the enemies were lame and the voice acting was a little bit annoying but it just ended up being so good. The combat is engaging, the map is absolutely massive. I was constantly saying to myself. Wow! Another area? Tons of good boss fights and mini bosses. It's definitely fighting for a place in my top three metroidvanias.

Solid game def will get your metroidvania fix. Pretty entertaining playing as a stoic, hard as nails rabbit. The combat is enjoyable, it's a perfect game to introduce you to the genre because it's not terribly difficult and most the platforming isn't extremely demanding.
