First let me say , the moment I viewed this show , I just had to smile ,18teen years ago I wrote a manuscript ( 480) pages , with 200 or so to go, ,and it was sense held in storage . After the 1st show I was compelled to dig my container out , dust it off , and read pages I had written , The life of the street through the shows version is , spot on , and trust me when I say New York was most surely like that back in the day ,as my book portrays "Excuse my spelling" , Didnt see any Girls going infront of Judge , or Corner store where things were passed over counters , Early morning tracks ,,11th Ave you might say .or actions down in Lower East Side ,the police did alot more than just controlling an area , Individuals were singled out and set up , just to get them off the street ,and if you were smart one didnt return , One might say My Book is about in Deuces fashion , one unwanted person return,d , from the shores of the Boston East Coast ,95 Mass Pike to the corners of nyc ,that was a Bad Choice . Can wait for a new season and also to maybe have a moment to speak to Mr. Pelecanos , . It would be a pleasure , to have a few pages read ! Great Show.
